Custom Branded Shirts for Your Business

As an owner or employee of your business, you are always going to be proud of your brand’s logo, identity, and slogan. But unless your target market already has loyalty for your brand, it may be difficult to get them to sport shirts with your logo front-and-center, especially if they aren’t familiar with your brand yet. It’s important to ask yourself these questions when determining which route to go with custom branded shirts for your company’s needs.

Are branded shirts right for your company?

promotional tshirtsDoes it make sense for your company to give out branded shirts? It really depends on who you plan on giving the shirts out to.

These are the questions that must be answered before deciding whether or not to utilize t-shirts as your promotional products:

  • Are you B2B or B2C? (B2C usually makes more sense for custom products)
  • Do you have a lot of repeat customers? (tees work best for businesses with exceptionally loyal customers– people enjoy promoting the businesses they love)
  • Do you have a catchy slogan? (sometimes this is all it takes)
  • Do you have a cool logo? (if yes, then a tee could work for you)
  • Is it for an event? (people are more likely to wear shirts for a specific occasion than a generic logo tee)
  • What’s the main reason for your custom-branded shirts? (Will the shirt be a souvenir or thank you gift? Is it for advertising? Is it for employees only?)

If it makes sense for you to hand out promotional t-shirts, then you need to determine…

How big should the logo be on your custom products?

Here’s an example: consumers love Nike. They proudly rep the Nike swoosh on t-shirts, even if that’s the only design element on the shirt.Promotional T shirts

On the other hand, consumers buy printer ink all the time, but they aren’t as loyal to a particular ink supplier because they’re willing to shop around for the printer ink company with the best price. They might wear a shirt with an ink and toner store’s logo on it, but not if the logo takes up the entire chest area. In this case, you might want to have the logo and slogan on a front pocket.
